Dancers Workshop Business Policy

Class Etiquette: Please arrive on time for all classes. Dancers should be in full dance attire and have their hair pulled back and secured. No gum chewing and no drinks other than water will be allowed in studios.

Attendance: Good attendance is essential for each dancer's maximum benefit and progress. If a dancer is sick or unable to attend class please contact the office prior to their scheduled class.

Dressing Rooms: Please use the dressing rooms to keep personal items. No street shoes, cell phones, or other electronic devices are allowed in the dance studios. Please leave all valuables at home; we are not responsible for personal belongings. To avoid misplacing or losing dance articles, please mark student's name on all shoes, dance bags and dancewear. Lost and found items are placed in the dressing room.

Observation: No observers are allowed in class. Our studios have viewing windows, which may be used for occasional observation. Please respect the teacher and only observe in short intervals. Feel free to discuss your child's progress with the teacher or the director.

Class Placement: Please see our class schedule for al our classes offered and for class end times. Our recreational dance classes are based on a dancer's age. The dancer must be the required age by the start of the dance season. Our Placement level classes and Intensive Program is by teacher recommendation and teacher approval is required for upward movement through levels. If you have any questions about the right class for your child, please contact the Dancers Workshop office.

Placement Classes: Placement Jazz and Modern classes require a Ballet class to be taken at the same time.

Dance Intensive: Dance Intensive requires a dancer to attend two-day a week Ballet program. Dancers must attend both classes each week. If an absence has occurred a make up class is required. Attendance is critical for the development of dancers in the Intensive program.

Absence and make-up classes: All absences should be reported by phone to the studio prior to class time. Make up classes are available for missed classes; please contact the office to schedule a make up class.

Snow Days: Holidays, vacations, and snow days correspond to those of the Sudbury Public School system. If Sudbury schools are delayed we will not hold morning classes but will hold afternoon classes. On days that school is held but evening classes must be cancelled we will notify classes by email. Snow days for Saturday classes will be at the discretion of the teacher; these students will be called if class is to be cancelled. You can also check our answering machine for snow cancellations. Our tuition rates are based on the probability of two snow days for each class occurring during the winter season.

Student Recital: Dancers Workshop's dance program is year based and culminates with an annual recital in May. Participation in the recital is not mandatory, but encouraged. If a dancer does not participate in the recital, they are encouraged to continue the entire dance season. The dance training they will receive is the same as the dancer participating in the recital. We hold five recitals over the weekend. You may be required to attend more than one recital.

Costumes: Costumes for the Recital are selected and ordered in November. If your dancer is not participating in the recital you must contact the office and inform the Director. Once a costume is ordered there are no costume refunds.

Tuition: Tuition is based on a yearly fee. You may pay by cash, check, debit or credit card. We accept Master Card or Visa. Tuition may be paid in full or in two installments, as shown on the Tuition Rate Chart. Accounts not paid timely are charged a late fee. There is a fee for returned checks. Payment plan contracts are available; please call the office if you are interested. · Tuition payments are by JULY 1st and NOVEMBER 30th.

Refund Policy: We do not give refunds. Tuition will not be prorated for missed classes due to other activities.
